Returns + Exchanges Policy

We hope you love everything you order. However, if something doesn’t work out, we’re happy to help with returns or exchanges using the following guidelines:

Online Purchases

You may return or exchange your purchase within 14 days of delivery.

  • For store credit: return must be postmarked within 14 days of delivery. 
  • For exchanges: must be postmarked within 14 days of delivery.
  • Note: our current exchange process requires you to return the item and place a new order.
  • Online purchases returned in-store are eligible for store credit only.
  • Returns must include your packing slip and check off all items being returned.
  • Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer, and original shipping charges are non-refundable. 

In-Store Purchases

You may return or exchange your purchase within 14 days for store credit only.

You must provide a valid receipt or information we can use to locate your purchase in our system.

Holiday Return Exception

Purchases made between December 1st and December 24th may be returned for store credit or exchanged until January 15th. 

Final Sale Items

Items marked as Final Sale cannot be returned or exchanged. 

Final Sale includes: 

  • Gift Cards & eGift Cards
  • Discounted items permanently reduced on the website and/or items purchased during site-wide promotions

Promo codes received for email and text subscriptions are excluded.

Returns + Exchanges Conditions

To be eligible for a return or exchange: 

  • Items must be in original, unworn condition with tags attached.
  • Items must be free of scents, signs of wear or damage.
  • All original packaging, including boxes and dust bags, must be included.
  • Swimwear must have the hygiene liner intact.

We are unable to issue refunds or store credit for items that are not in resellable condition, regardless of whether tags are attached. This includes-but is not limited to-items with wear, odor, stains or damage. Our team reserves the right to consult with management before agreeing to a return. 

Refunds + Store Credit

Once your return is received and inspected:

  • Approved refunds will be issued as store credit to your customer profile.
  • Please allow 1-2 business days for us to process your return once it arrives.

Returns of items purchased with a gift card will be refunded as store credit. 

We do not offer price adjustments or matching.

How to Make a Return

Email online@shopislandgarden.com with your order number and reason for the return. Once approved, we’ll send you a return label and instructions. Items sent back to us without prior approval will not be accepted. Ensure you include your packing slip in your return (you may package items from multiple orders in one return, but all related packing invoices must be included in the shipment).

Offers + Discounts

If you return part of an order that included a promotion or discount, the refund will be adjusted accordingly. All discounts and offers will be prorated based on what you keep.

Defective, Incorrect or Missing Items

If you receive the wrong item, or something is damaged or missing, please email us at online@shopislandgarden.com within 48 hours of delivery. Include: 

  • Your name and best contact info
  • Order number or receipt 
  • Item name(s) 
  • Photos, if applicable

We’ll do our best to resolve it for you promptly!
